Frequently Asked Questions
Uploading an Image
Are there any requirements for uploading a file?
We work with the following digital files: JPEG, PNG, and TIF. The minimum pixel requirement is 800 X 800 (as the smallest size we offer is 8"X8"). Please note that you can only upload TIF files only through Mozilla Firefox Browser.
How big should my file be?
In order to receive a high quality print, we limit the resolution to a minimum of 100 dpi. That means that every 100 pixels of your image can be blown up to 1 inch on canvas. Therefore, for bigger canvas print, you should upload a bigger digital image. For example, a digital image of 1,200 pixels X 1,800 pixels can be printed in a maximum size of 12"X18".
My file is bigger than 10MB. What should I do?
Please email us at largefiles@statofyourart.com and we will provide you with a link to upload the file for print.
I prefer to send images on CD. Can I do that?

We offer a 100% satisfaction guaranteed service, which means that we will keep working and retouching your image until you are completely satisfied. Please check out our Retouching & Effects section for further information.
Will I get exactly the same image that I see on my monitor?
Display settings can be different on each computer and therefore we cannot guarantee that the print will feature exactly the same colors displayed on your screen.

Customizing an Image
Which print size should I choose?
Once you upload an image, our system will analyze its properties, and will offer an array of suitable sizes. We only offer sizes that will ensure a good looking print.
What is the difference between gallery wrap and basic wrap?
In Basic Wrap the printed canvas is stretched on a 3/4" wooden frame and is visibly stapled to the sides of the frame. This wrap is recommended for clients who would like to frame the canvas later on.
Will I lose the sides of my picture when I choose bleed?
With our bleed option, exactly 1.5" of the image's edges will be used to wrap around the frame. This creates an aesthetically pleasing canvas which is ready to hang – without framing.
